No Condemnation Part 2…. condemnation destroys but the Spirit gives life
In part 1 I covered how we don’t have to live in condemnation – because God’s grace is sufficient for us.
The Bible in Second Corinthians 12: 8 states three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
The Apostle Paul had a revelation about the Grace of God and we need to get a revelation, too. We don’t have to focus on our weaknesses instead we can focus on God and not allow ourselves to live in condemnation.
Don’t be moved by how you feel
It is easy to feel condemn when you think about your weakness, the past and what negative things people say about you.
You have to choose to trust God and his word and not your feelings, emotions or people.
Condemnation is not of God!
The Bible in Romans 8:1 states So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body, God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.
We are freed from the spirit of condemnation and we walk after the life giving spirit which gives us life and peace. Condemnation is from the devil and will destroy you if you allow it. If you walk in condemnation you will focus on your sins and weakness. The devil is the accuser of the brethren, don’t allow him or any person to make you feel condemned.
Will you believe God?
The devil wants you to believe his lies. We have to use our faith to stand against him.
The Bible and Ephesians 6:13-17 states therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle, you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God
We have to put on the armor of God to defeat and stand against satan. There is no soldier I know in the military who goes to do battle without being prepared with their armor.
We are in a spiritual battle and we fight with spiritual weapons. The bible says we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities. We have to remember that we are wrestling with evil spirits and not people.
We have to make sure to walk in love. Faith works by love….
I know it’s not easy to walk in love because sometimes people hurt and disappoint us. We have to continue to believe God’s word even when we think that it is not working and believe that He makes all things work together for our good (Romans 8:28)
Today I want to encourage you to believe God no matter how you feel or what other people say.
